A safe is one of the heaviest things in a home or office for its size. Most of the weight sits low in the body and the door, so it can't be carried like furniture. It has to be walked, strapped or wheeled, one step at a time, with the floor and walls protected along the way.
The same safe can be a quick job on a flat driveway or a slow one up a narrow outdoor staircase. Before we quote, we ask about every step between the safe and the truck: stairs (inside and outside), steps at the front door, narrow hallways and doorways, lifts and their weight limits, gravel or grass, and the kind of floor at both ends. The photos below show some of the access we've handled, including tall safes taken up external staircases.
